 Those who will shine in 2023 will need to arise. Shining  the light of Christ is only possible with light. The light is the precise knowledge ( revealed word from God) concerning you.  What is the Lord saying to you specifically? The general word will only make meaningful impact when you follow what God is saying to you specifically. Don’t be lost in the crowd  When God is speaking to you, the world around you, including those who love you may mis interpret the word because they love you but they lack understanding of what God is saying to you in specifics. Everyone on earth has a purpose to fulfill. The fulfillment depends on your knowledge about your destiny. God created you with a plan  in view   and the plan is a good one which will eventually be actualized if you know it ,believe it and follow it through. How do I know that I truly love God? Loving God is not about mouth service. It has to do with obedience to his word and loving his people  Jesus says: “If you love Me, keep My commandments … He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me … If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” John 14:15-24. If we clam to love God we must love his people. Loving his people is not lips service . Serving God require a pure conscience to be acceptable. For God is a spirit and his worshippers must worship Him in spirit and in truth. Any thing short of this is mere religion  “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” John 4:24 Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:3 3 I thank God,(whom I serve, as my ancestors did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly remember you in my prayers.” Your conscience must be clear for your worship or service be acceptable to God. You see, God searches the heart and motives behind our actions. 1 Timothy 1:19, NLT: Cling to your faith in Christ, and keep your conscience clear. For some people have deliberately violated their consciences; as a result, their faith has been shipwrecked.” This is so important so therefore we need to always guard our hearts so that we do not serve in vain. When we talk about loving people sometimes we limit it to those who are reasonable. We tend to show love to those that are nice to us only or those in our camp who agree with us. You see love is beyond that. We must aspire to love like God who does good to unkind people as well. “For if you love [only] those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do that?” The tax collectors love only those who love them. So if we love only those who love us we are not different from tax collectors. People might want to take advantage of you because of the love you share but don’t worry your reward is in both here on earth and in heaven. Sometimes it’s so difficult to love those who despise you but you need to ask for grace to overcome evil with good. “But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. God has a purpose for you and that is the reason why He brought you here on earth. You are not here by accident. There is a dire need for you to enquire from God why you are here so you can begin to fulfill it. We should not be ignorant of the devices of the devil. One of the devices the devil uses to ensnare people is deception. Deception is defined as the act of causing someone to accept as true or valid what is false or invalid. The dangerous thing about deception is that those that are deceived do not even know that they are deceived. It will take the intervention of God to reveal the form of deception one is exposed to. “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”2 Cor 2:11 In the garden of Eden , the devil used the device of deception to ensnare Adam and Eve.
