 GODLY CHARACTER THROUGH TRUTHFULNESS

The bible makes us to understand the following 

• Our God is a God of truth, in Psalm 119:128 the bible says that “therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right and I hate every false way”

• The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth in John 14:16 and in john 16:13 where the Holy Spirit was described as the Spirit of Truth/the truth giving Spirit

• Satan is the father of all liars (john 8:44) and the destiny of all liars is the lake of hell 

As children of God we are called to walk in the truth and God teaches us truth. The bible says that let your “Yes” be “Yes” and “No” be “No”.  

THE MANIFESTATION OF UNFAITHFULNESS/FALSEHOOD AND INSECURITY

1. Outright Lies
   this involves telling outright lies, you know the truth but for one reason or the other, you tell a lie that might sometimes led to series of lies to cover/hide the truth. God hate lies. 

2. Misinformation/half-truth:   here the child of God splits the truth into sections and tells a part of the truth that most likely favour him and the other part are lies. The bible 

3. Falsificationof result or certificate acquired by malpractices 

4. False measures/false weighs &balances 

5. Cheating/outright  fraud /unlawful profiting from others

6. Exaggeration- truth or facts stretched beyond their limits are lies

7. Deception 

8. Perjury/false affidavits /false declaration 

9. Quality/standard compromise 

PROFITS OF TRUTH

Just like every command in the bible has a blessing attached to it , truthfulness and sincerity also has its own benefit and promise 

• Truthfulness and sincerity guarantees divine presence of God.

• It  guarantees abundance of Grace John 1:17

• It guarantees divine preservation 

• It guarantees divine responsibility and assignment exodus 18:21- if you want god to take you serious especially in ministry work you have to be sincere, God works with people he can trust and boast of. See the case of Job 

• It guarantees supernatural open doors – the worth of everyman is his words “your word is your worth”, “if your words does not matter, you will never matter, it is just a matter of time ”. As Christians we are advised to speak less and listen more.

•  It  guarantees the mercy of God Ikings 3:6

• It  guarantees establishment and durability of life and impart Prov 12: 19

• It  guarantees majestic ride /royal ride – while others are struggling truth puts you on a ride
