Prayers to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ-Pastor Israel Moore

We are admonished to grow in grace. The sure way to grow in grace is growing in experiential knowledge of  the person of Our Lord Jesus Christ who is full of grace and truth.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.2Peter 3:18

The apostle Peter taught us that we should crave/ desire/ long for pure spiritual milk so that by it we will grow in our salvation 

Without increasing knowledge of the person of Jesus our growth will be retardant.

1 Peter 2:2 “As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”

If Jesus Christ himself grew we must also grow 

“And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.” Luke 2:52

For this very reason, applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding),” 2 Peter 1:5

We desire to know Christ experientially and not only head knowledge. Knowing Christ beyond the letters because the letter kills but the spirit gives life.

Prayers 

Father thank you for your grace and mercy upon us in Jesus name.

We are praying that we encounter you in a new way in Jesus name.

Grant us a deep desire to know and long for you always in Jesus name

Increase our love for you oh Lord in Jesus name 

Thank you for all you have done in Jesus name.amen 🙏

Prayers to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior 

Accept the Lord Jesus in your Heart and be saved ❤️ 

Say this prayer with me and mean it with your heartLord Jesus, I accept you as my Lord and savior today.

Come into my heart. I believe that you died for me and rose from the dead for my justification. With my mouth I confess you as my Lord and savior in Jesus name.🙏
